Abu Salamah bin 'Abdur-Rahman narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah say concerning Ramadan: “Whoeve spends its nights in prayer (Qiyam) out of faith and in the hope of reward, he will be forgiven his previous sins”"
